The Technical Sales & Service Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing technical service operations, and supporting customers for Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) and Walk-In Refrigeration Technology solutions used in bioprocessing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and biopharma industries. This role requires expertise in ULT refrigeration systems, an understanding of regulatory requirements for biological storage, and the ability to provide pre-sales consultation, installation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.



  • Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities for ULT refrigeration solutions in the biopharma, life sciences, and pharma sectors.
    • Engage with bioprocessing professionals to understand bulk drug storage requirements and recommend optimal ULT solutions (e.g., controlled rate chambers, forced air convection freezers, and conventional ULT freezers).
    • Conduct technical product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations for key stakeholders, including R&D labs, manufacturing units, and regulatory bodies.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets while aligning with industry trends such as process intensification, energy efficiency, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams for lead generation, industry trade shows, and educational webinars focused on pharmaceutical cold storage and bioprocessing challenges.

    Technical Support & Service Management:

    • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of ULT refrigeration units, ensuring repeatable freezing and thawing performance for bulk pharmaceutical storage.
    • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting to resolve service escalations, including compressor reliability, refrigerant flow optimization, and energy efficiency concerns.
    • Develop and implement service contracts, warranty programs, and predictive maintenance schedules to enhance system reliability and prevent failure risks such as oil logging and temperature excursions.
    • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to address technical concerns, suggest improvements, and adapt products to emerging industry requirements.
    • Ensure all installations and service activities comply with GMP, FDA, ISO 13485, and biopharma storage guidelines.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Act as a technical consultant, helping customers select the right ULT storage & Walk-In solutions for mRNA vaccines, cell & gene therapies, bulk biopharmaceuticals, and clinical trial materials.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for technical service issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing operational disruptions.
    • Collect customer feedback on performance metrics like temperature uniformity, energy efficiency, and product viability to inform product enhancements.
    • Develop and manage customer training programs for effective ULT freezer operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

    Operations & Compliance:

    • Ensure service operations comply with pharmaceutical quality, safety, and environmental regulations for long-term cold storage.
    • Maintain accurate service records, technical documentation, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
    • Prepare regular sales and service performance reports for senior management.
    • Stay updated on industry advancements in ULT refrigeration, including forced-air convection technology, controlled rate freezing, and smart monitoring systems.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years in technical sales, service management, or business development in refrigeration, bioprocessing, or laboratory cold storage solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of ULT refrigeration technologies, including forced-air convection freezers, blast freezers, and controlled rate chambers and Walk-In chambers.
    • Familiarity with ULT freezing (-80°C), Walk-In chambers and pharmaceutical process refrigeration.
    • Understanding of regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, ISO 13485) for biopharma cold storage.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent technical sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Experience in project management for equipment installation and maintenance.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and technical documentation tools.

Ability to work independently and travel extensively across India.
